Continuing their Halloween Franchise Marathon, the Scream Queens are BACK to give their Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers Reaction, Recap, Commentary, Analysis, & Spoiler Review! Roxy Striar & Tara Erickson dive into the cult-favorite slasher sequel Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995), the sixth installment in John Carpenter’s legendary Halloween franchise. Directed by Joe Chappelle, the film continues the terrifying saga of Michael Myers, now tied to the mysterious Cult of Thorn mythology. Picking up years after the events of Halloween 5, Michael stalks the Strodes once again, and this time the evil feels darker, stranger, and bloodier than ever. The film stars Donald Pleasence (Halloween, You Only Live Twice) in his final appearance as the iconic Dr. Sam Loomis, determined to stop Michael at any cost. Paul Rudd (Ant-Man, Clueless) in one of his earliest roles plays Tommy Doyle, the grown-up survivor from the original Halloween, now obsessed with uncovering Michael’s secrets. Marianne Hagan (Stake Land) portrays Kara Strode, cousin to Laurie Strode, who becomes entangled in Michael’s reign of terror along with her young son Danny (Devin Gardner). George P. Wilbur reprises his role as Michael Myers, embodying the unstoppable masked killer once more. Famous and highly discussed moments from the film include the shocking hospital massacre sequence, the eerie reveal of the Cult of Thorn, and the tense showdown between Tommy Doyle and Michael using runic symbols to subdue the Boogeyman. Fans still debate the differences between the Theatrical Cut and the infamous Producer’s Cut, with alternate endings and deeper cult mythology making this one of the most dissected entries in the Halloween franchise.
