The American Eagle commercial with Sydney Sweeney is good advertising but it’s also disgusting. Clearly the intention of the company was to imply controversy to ensure conservatives would buy and liberals would help promote through their hatred. The ad was clearly marketing jeans to men while encouraging liberal women to go straight to social media in protest. The notion that the play on words about jeans or genes has something to do with
Nazism is absurd. Sweeney is the American model image, just as blonde hair, blue eyes, and rugged features for men or soft features for women was and is the ideal northern European. The fact is, virtually no girl in America looks like her and so she only represents the model image of what some American men like, and what most women hate if they can’t compete.
