Anaphylactic dinner scares, blatant deckhand mutiny on the bridge, and an explosive late-night dockside altercation collided in Season 13, Episode 4 of Bravo’s Below Deck, titled "Diva Down Bad For A Deckie," proving that the second charter of the season can push both interior nerves and exterior leadership directly into the deep end! The maritime tension ignited on deck when a missing jet ski strap and a forgotten bag of excursion towels triggered an absolute meltdown from Captain Kerry. With the demanding charter guests sweating under the sun at the dock, Kerry chewed out lead deckhand Matt for Bosun Alex’s operational oversight, declaring that the sloppiness makes him look like an amateur. Fed up with taking the heat for his boss, Matt seized the opportunity to march straight up to the wheelhouse: actively pitching himself to Captain Kerry to take over as Bosun and openly plotting a coup while Alex scrambled to keep his head above water!
Down in the galley, Chef Moe walked into an absolute nightmare with the pickiest primary guests of the season. After weathering endless nitpicking over noodles and plating, the evening took a terrifying turn during the cheese course. In a shocking oversight where the preference sheet was completely ignored, a plate garnished with strawberry jam was served directly to a guest with a severe, life-threatening strawberry allergy! While Fraser and Moe caught the mistake just in the nick of time before the jam was consumed, the close call sent shockwaves through the dining salon. Between the galley chaos and romantic jealousy detonating across the interior—with Rainbeau's flirtations toward Matt leaving Kaylee in tears—the charter seemed destined for a total disaster. Yet, against all odds, the crew managed to salvage the trip, walking away with a surprisingly massive five-figure tip envelope that temporarily smoothed over the cracks. But the peace didn't last past the crew's celebratory night out: when an aggressive, hostile stranger cornered and harassed the female crew members on the street, it was Chef Moe who took off his belt, stepped into the line of fire, and physically put himself between his crewmates and the threat while the rest of the boys lagged behind!
The Snark Squad immediately lit up our inbox with fiery takes on the entire charter, going to war over Matt's ladder-climbing tactics. Our community dragged Matt for acting like a snake by pitching himself to Captain Kerry behind Alex's back, debating whether his ambition makes him proactive or completely toxic to crew morale. Meanwhile, the Snark Squad called out Fraser and Moe for letting a deadly strawberry allergen leave the galley in the first place, noting that no amount of fancy plating excuses blowing past a preference sheet warning. But the ultimate praise from the community went straight to Chef Moe for stepping up like an absolute protector on the night out, with listeners calling out the deck boys for walking ahead while Moe held the line. Want Danielle and Jay's immediate, unfiltered forensic breakdown of Matt’s mutiny receipts, the near-fatal strawberry jam crisis, and Moe’s heroic dockside showdown? Tune in to The Snark Side Podcast as we dissect every preference sheet fail, bridge confrontation, and Below Deck receipt you cannot afford to miss!
For all the fallout from Matt’s play for the Bosun radio, the Snark Squad's tactical predictions on whether Captain Kerry demotes Alex, and updates on the aftermath of Moe's night-out confrontation, stay tuned to our upcoming drops to see what receipts get pulled next!
