Dragula Season 7 Episode 1 | Slippers, Spite, and Slaughter

It’s Season 7, Episode 1 of The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula, and the Snark Squad is back to dissect every gruesome look, backstage blowout, and terrifying elimination. The monsters are officially out of their crypts, kicking off the premiere with a sinister Wizard of Oz-themed horror challenge. Between navigating a violently windy maze on the hunt for ruby slippers and turning sickening high-concept terror on the main stage, the season premiere set a razor-sharp standard for alternative drag and cutthroat competition.

Off the runway, the cauldron boiled over almost immediately into chaotic backstage drama. We break down the explosive energy surrounding Annie Agurl, the mounting tension fueled by language barrier misunderstandings, and the paranoia taking over the boudoir as the cast grapples with high-stakes, cast-voted eliminations. With alliances already cracking under pressure, the premiere wasted no time proving that the social warfare this season is just as brutal as the challenges themselves.

Rounding out the premiere, we rave over the elevated production value, the nostalgic grit of the VHS aesthetic, and those iconic horror-movie tribute kills that gave us our first gruesome extermination. Grab your popcorn and sharpen your claws—join the Snark Squad as we review the top looks, call out the early frontrunners, and tear into all the opening-night chaos on The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula Season 7!
