I used to spend hours changing out my kids clothes and buying all these new clothes and shoes before the start of each new school year. Now that I have been doing these capsule wardrobes, they really don't need much at the beginning of the school year anymore. 

Sure, they still enjoy going shopping and picking out new stuff, and we do! But, most of the time, they have everything they need, so we just update a few items and we're done! It is so much easier to stay on budget with capsule wardrobes and shopping from a list of specific items they need to add, like another pair of pants or shoes, a jacket or 4 more tops.
