AI/ML

Additionally, a controversial AI model from Rio de Janeiro has been identified as a blend of existing models Nex and Qwen, raising questions about originality and ownership in AI development.

Industry

Amazon has raised security concerns about Anthropic's AI models, resulting in a U.S. government export control ban on the Fable 5 and Mythos 5 models, impacting AWS operations. Anthropic disputes the government's characterization of these models. In another significant move, Meta is divesting its $2 billion acquisition of AI startup Manus following a divestiture order from Beijing due to national security concerns.
