The Christian faith began with the strange claim of a crucified and resurrected Messiah. But can 21st Century people believe in such a miracle at 2,000 years distance? Justin speaks with scholars who are part of a surprising rebirth of the historical evidence for the resurrection.
Alongside thinkers such as Jonathan Pageau, Lydia and Tim McGrew, John Dickson, Lisa Fields, NT Wright and Jeremiah J Johnston he hears the story of Cambridge academic James Orr whose own investigation into the historical Jesus changed the course of his life forever.
UPDATE: In September 2026 (two years after this podcast episode was broadcast) an undercover investigative journalist captured James Orr attempting to bypass UK political party donation law. He consequently resigned from his role in the Reform party, and Cambridge University launched an investigation into his conduct. Rather than removing this episode, or Orr’s interview, we’ve decided to keep his contribution as is, while acknowledging this subsequent incident so that listeners are apprised of the allegations regarding James Orr when they listen.
