In this episode Hallie talks to Tiffany Lamberton, DDS about the role that the Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) and Temporomandibular Disorder (TMD) play in Myo. Dr. Lamberton shares her own journey, first as a Physical Therapist (PT) turned Dentist (DDS) and as the mother of a child with an obstructive sleep disorder. She shared that this journey taught her the importance of the TMJ in facial development and airway. She highlights the need to determine a healthy TMJ before establishing treatment plans and choosing oral appliances. Dr. Lamberton also shares her passion for interdisciplinary collaboration and plans for her practice, The TMD Collective.
