When life gets hectic and overrun with an endless list of to-dos, it is hard to schedule a time to sit down, let alone plan a vacation. It is time to just take a vacation! 

• We all need downtime. Don’t wait, plan the vacation now!
• Ask your friends and family where they like to go, especially for family vacations. Everyone likes something different; it is good to ask questions.
• Compromise! Location, travel mode, activities- include everyone in the decision-making.
• Think about what everyone wants to do. Do you want an active vacation? Do you want to laze around by the pool?
• Don’t forget to take sun breaks. Sunburn and fatigue are no fun for anyone. 
• Don’t overschedule- make sure to allow for some downtime!
• Think about how warm or cold it is going to be. What are your kids’ temperature limits?
• Take notes! If you plan to return, jot down things you want to do next time. What worked? What didn’t?
• Memories are more important than things. Take the vacation!
