Hi! This week we read the well-loved book Normal People! Normal People by Sally Rooney is a story that leaves you with the feeling of melancholy. Connell and Marianne meet in high school and enter into a situationship that takes place over the course of half a decade. As these two grow closer and further away from one another throughout the story, they also endure some personal struggles that impact their self image, self worth, and world view. This book feels so real. It feels like watching their relationship unfold as a long time friend of both people. You feel their pain, you understand their actions on a deep level (most of the time), and it leaves you with so much introspection.
