25 years ago, Molly Shannon brought her beloved Saturday Night Live character to the big screen with a hilarious coming-of-age film filled with actors in their 30s playing high schoolers, an abundance of references to old made-for-TV movies, Will Ferrell as Jesus, multiple scenes of a girl making out with a tree, and sketch comedy legends doing what they do best to give us SUPERSTAR. This week the Wives Colangelo pay their respects to Mary Katherine Gallagher by praising a movie about yearning, developing a personality based on the media you consume, and ridiculously quotable one-liners.
