Friends of the Rosary,

Keeping the word of Jesus leads us to life and sets us free.

The Gospel readings towards the end of Lent show, one scene after the other, the mounting hatred towards Our Lord while He was teaching about the Kingdom.

To the Jews, the Lord said at that time, as we read today in the Gospel of John,

“Whoever keeps my word will never taste death.”

However, far from acknowledging the Word Incarnate, the Jews insulted Our Lord and threw stones at him.

Then Jesus said to them, “Amen, amen, I say to you, before Abraham came to be, I AM.”

Friends, note how Jesus refers to himself as “I AM,” the name God revealed to Moses, during the episode from Exodus.
