August 11, 2022, Holy Rosary (Luminous Mysteries)

Friends of the Rosary:

Forgiving one another from the heart is not easy. Jesus Christ forgives us our sins, but we don’t easily forgive, as we are instructed to do in the third Luminous Mystery that we pray today.

We tend to argue that the sins of some people close to us are unforgivable, because by forgiving, we would send a wrong message and the evilness of that person would continue. Well, our human logic is not the divine thinking. My ways are not your ways, says the Father to us.

In Mathew 18:21, Peter asks Jesus, "Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?" Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times."

Let’s fully embrace the mystery of forgiveness, simply because the Divinity designed it this way for our goodness and eternal salvation.
