Today, the Fourth Day in the Octave of Christmas, the universal Church celebrates the Feast of Holy Innocents, Martyrs, and the glory of these innocent victims.

We honor these small children of the neighborhood of Bethlehem mass-murdered by the wicked King Herod.

These sacrificed lives bear witness to Christ who was persecuted from the time of His birth by a world that would not receive Him.

The Holy Innocents saved the Child Jesus from death by the shedding of their own blood.
