We are seeing this in the beloved Pope Benedict XVI, one of the greatest biblical theologians and intellectual minds of the last century.

Pope Benedict was a gentle soul who put Jesus Christ’s friendship at the center of his life. And leading men and women to friendship with Jesus was the purpose of his life.

“Only when we meet the living God in Christ do we know what life is,” he said.
