July 8, 2021, Holy Rosary (Luminous Mysteries)

Friends of the Rosary:

Conversion needs to happen every day. In truth, our Christian life is — or should be — a life of continual renewal and conversion.

An interior transformation doesn’t come overnight. Instinctively, we might return to our old, unholy past. Everyone gets assaulted with bad thoughts, sometimes consciously, others unconsciously, when sleeping, for example.

We cannot give up. Our love for Jesus and Mary and for our neighbors needs to be worked unto perfection. We stay alert for that, by rejecting the empty promises of the world.

The third luminous mystery that we pray today — whose fruit is repentance and conversion — shows that this grace is for everyone. The ocean of mercy and hope of Jesus touches every single one of us.

Let’s invoke the Holy Spirit and his spouse, our beloved Virgin Mary, to help us to turn away from sin to holiness.
