March 13, 2025, Thursday of the First Week of Lent, Holy Rosary (Luminous Mysteries)

Friends of the Rosary,

The Lenten Christian is a time of cleansing. Prayers and pleas seek God’s grace and mercy to escape worldly desires and temptations.

As we read today (Matthew 7:7-12) from Our Lord:

“Ask and it will be given to you;
seek and you will find;
knock and the door will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds;
and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”

Looking at the crucified Jesus, we realize that He destroyed the works of the devil by His death upon the Cross.

Through baptism, we became members of Christ, enlightened by His grace, and partakers of the salvation He offers.

United to Him, whom shall we fear?

In our tribulation, we glorify Him and rejoice, walking in His light as we pray in today’s mysteries of the Holy Rosary.
