Friends of the Rosary:
This Fourth Sunday of Lent is known as Laetare Sunday, for the word laetare, rejoice in Latin. It’s a foretaste of Easter joy. Today, when we are in the middle of Lent, a meaningful joy born of our fruitful life in Christ should come among the faithful.
The Gospel’s reading (John 9:1-41) narrates the healing of the ‘man born blind’. It is the passage from the darkness of sin and error to the Light of God, who is the Risen Christ.
The Solemnity of St. Joseph is usually celebrated on March 19 but has been transferred to March 20 since the liturgy of the Lenten Sundays takes precedence.
Ave Maria!
Jesus, I Trust In You!
