[Comment: Courage]
Friends of the Rosary,
Do we exhibit enough moral courage to speak up? Clearly, not. We, laypeople, stay silent for the fear of the dominant secular world. Pretty much the same way that many bishops and priests do. We all prefer to be aligned with the world around us, avoiding any fight or dispute.
We have convinced ourselves that our faith is an individual virtue to be practiced discreetly and in solitude. We have too many problems, and we opt for a comfortable life. The idea of being martyrs, or even Saints, is not for us.
Unfortunately, we don’t realize that rejecting the virtue of moral courage—which is the fruit of the third sorrowful mystery—is very harmful to our own soul.
We invoke the sacred heart of Jesus and the immaculate heart of Mary to give us the courage and strength to be truthful.
