November 24, 2023, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries) | Prayer for the innocents in Gaza and Israel

Friends of the Rosary:

As we are reading today in the Gospel (Lk 19:45-48), Jesus entered the temple area and proceeded to drive out those who were selling things, saying to them:

"It is written, My house shall be a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of thieves."

At that time, the temple was the economic, political, and religious center of life. It was the dwelling place of God on earth.

As the Messiah, Christ Jesus was trying to turn the temple into a place of prayer.

Fearing for their economical and political power, the chief priests, the scribes, and the leaders of the people, rejected Jesus' message.
By cleansing the temple, Jesus noted that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. And the dwelling place of God is in the bodies of the followers of Jesus.
