October 31, 2021, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries) | In Memoriam of Maria Blanca

Friends of the Rosary:

God’s ways are not our ways. When Maria Blanca left us we all experienced profound pain. Personally, I better understood the mystery of the sanctity of marriage: the idea of two bodies merged into one flesh united in prayer to Jesus and Mary.

In our pride, we take things for granted, without thanking God for everything we have. Our lack of gratitude shows that we are sinners. The absence of a dear person results in a hole in your heart. Maria Blanca was cured of her cancer and toxic epidermal necrolysis to join, I hope, the communion of Saints, which is Heaven. She is resting in peace, advocating for all of us. Maria Blanca emptied herself in her faith.

As a Catholic mother, her goal was to bring her kids to Heaven. As a wife, she had the same mission. As an anonymous faithful, she was always pursuing conversions of friends. As a gift, she received the grace of a happy death after an extremely painful stay at the ICU.

Today’s Rosary takes place from the city of Astorga, part of El Camino, the Way of St James, where she grew and we buried her yesterday. The Marian prayer is dedicated to her memory.
