1. HEALING WAS NEVER A SIDE ISSUE TO JESUS — IT WAS THE PROOF OF THE KINGDOM Matthew 4:23-24 (NKJV) — "And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people... and He healed them."

2. HE DIDN'T KEEP THE POWER TO HIMSELF — HE GAVE IT AWAY Luke 9:1-2 (NKJV) — "Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick."

3. HEALING IS ONE OF THE SIGNS THAT FOLLOWS THOSE WHO BELIEVE Mark 16:17-18 (NKJV) — "And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons... they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."

4. HEALING WAS PURCHASED AT THE CROSS, NOT JUST SALVATION Matthew 8:16-17 (NKJV) — "When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: 'He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.'" 1 Peter 2:24 (NKJV) — "...by whose stripes you were healed."

5. THE CHURCH WAS GIVEN A STANDING PRACTICE FOR THE SICK James 5:14-15 (NKJV) — "Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up."

6. GOD STILL DISTRIBUTES GIFTS OF HEALING THROUGH THE SPIRIT 1 Corinthians 12:9-10 (NKJV) — "to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles..."

SIGNS AND WONDERS WERE GOD'S OWN CONFIRMATION OF THE GOSPEL Hebrews 2:3-4 (NKJV) — "God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will." Acts 5:12 (NKJV) — "And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people."

8. THE WORKS OF JESUS CONTINUE THROUGH EVERYONE WHO BELIEVES IN HIM John 14:12 (NKJV) — "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father."
