If you want to encourage someone to change their behavior or go in a different direction, approach it with the thought of how best to help them, not necessarily how to help the situation.

It is better not to address someone who is angry, even if it seems merited. Wait until he or she is calm.

Offer inspiration and ways to create positive change.

Don't judge others. We have no idea what karma they have to work out and why.
