In December 1992, 20-year-old Arnold Archambeau and 19-year-old Ruby Bruguier, a young couple who had a child together, were involved in a single-vehicle car accident after a night of drinking. They had a passenger with them, who recalled that after the crash, Arnold was no longer in the vehicle and Ruby left the scene of the accident.
