John Hughes was the phenomenal director behind some iconic 80s and 90s films like Planes, Trains and Automobiles, The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Sixteen Candles and so many more.
His passion for music was evident in the tracks he used across these wonderful films and by using those songs he helped to break so many of the artists whose music would feature in the soundtracks.
