Euphemisms act as selected by a given verbal community often as an
alternative to a subject that has been regarded as touchy, uncomfortable, or
politically incorrect. These usually include humorous replacements and in some cases
can even be misleading. There are several forms of euphemisms that offer potential
for some comical alternatives to certain topics, fostering creative slang among
professionals, youths, and others. However, while slang positively units individuals
in certain communities, euphemisms should be carefully considered in scientific
communities that seek to maintain consistency and objectivity in their research.
Further dissemination of scientific jargon may require comfortable translation or
euphemisms, but its source should not.
