I See The Lord

'I See The Lord' was written by John Chisum and Don Moen. This great song's basic inspiration came directly from one of the writer's personal worship time with the Lord. He was experiencing a deeply intimate, overwhelming moment when he felt consumed by a vision of God's absolute supremacy and majesty.

'I See The Lord' is ONE of the songs released from a Hosanna! Integrity Music project entitled 'God Is Able', and was Recorded Live at the Atlantic Civic Center with Worship Leader Ron Kenoly and was Produced and Orchestrated by Tom Brooks.

'I See The Lord's' impact lies in how it seamlessly bridges the gap between earth and heaven, pulling its mental picture directly from the most impressive visions of God found in the Bible. Intensely inspired by the biblical imagery in Isaiah 6 where it says..."I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple", the writer began composing the main idea and melody. He captured the awe-inspiring picture of the Lamb upon the throne surrounded by a cloud of heavenly worshipers.

Everything that humanity encounters is temporary...empires fall, seasons change, and lives end. The repeating of the word "forever" in this great song compels a declaration of absolute stability. It creates an anchor for the believer, emphasizing that no matter what earthly trials or shifting circumstances are happening, the King on the throne remains entirely unchanged!
