Happy birthday to Robert Jordan! (on the day we recorded this one). We establish that Mat's memories range between 500 years after the Breaking and about 2,000 years A.B. So, nothing in the last thousand years. That may have to do with the availability of the Red Stone Doorway Ter'angreal. One of Rand's wards around the camp is triggered, Mat realizes that the camp is being attacked from the south, AND north. We'll learn later that the purpose of the Trolloc and Myrdraal attack is to distract from the Draghkar assassins which drop from the sky in an attempt on Rand's life.
