Joan Buckley talks with Tina Wolfe and Nicole Chimento about ‘The Community Action for Social Justice (CASJ), and ‘Harm Reduction’ for drug abusers here on Long Island. CASJ operates from the perspective of acceptance first, then reducing or eliminating boundaries that separate these people from their community and become a bridge between community and government and communicate the needs of Long Islanders, negotiate resources, then collaboratively utilize those resources in the most effective, efficient, and transparent manner possible.
