Forbidden Grief. That’s what women experience when they begin to grieve their abortions. When we go through a loss in life, we are surrounded my family and given support. When we have an abortion, though, we feel as though our grief must be kept a secret. We go through it without any support, living with an invisible scarlet letter A on our chest, wishing for our pain to go away and having no one to turn to.
