American History X (1998) - Additional Crew Film Review

“This racist propaganda psychobabble; he learned this nonsense, Murray, and he can unlearn it too.”Welcome to Additional Crew. Today we bring you “A neo-Nazi is released from prison a changed man and hopes to prevent his younger brother from following in his footsteps.” We are of course talking about Humpty Dumpty’s (aka Tony Kaye’s) film American History X. Widely known as the movie where Edward Norton was nominated for best actor for playing a white supremacist that performed a curb stomp, what does the movie really stand for? Is it worth re-visiting? Before we get into that I’m going to flatly state that this podcast is going to have to tackle some political, moral, and ethical ideas. This isn’t a movie that you can discuss without bringing anything up. We are not attempting to sway opinions on any political party directly, and we are not advertising for anyone to do anything other than thank about a movie and think about the relation to life.#movies #filmreview #americanhistoryx #90s #thriller #drama
