Frankenstein - Chapter 6 | Mary Wollstonecraft Shelly | Audiobook + Discussion

Frankenstein by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley — Chapter 6

A letter from Elizabeth reaches Victor as he recovers in Ingolstadt, bringing anxious affection, news from Geneva, and the story of Justine Moritz’s return to the family. Victor is eager to reassure those waiting for him, but he finds that even kindly praise from his professors can reopen the distress he is trying to leave behind.

With Henry Clerval beside him, Victor turns from natural philosophy to new languages, poetry, and long walks in the spring countryside. Friendship and familiar pleasures begin to restore his spirits as he looks toward home.
