David Rau and the Sustainability of Tradition

In this episode of By Invitation, host Caroline Slaten sits down with architect David Rau to explore how classical architecture may be one of our greatest models for sustainable design. What does it truly mean for a building to be "green"? David Rau is a Principal at Hart Howerton and member of the Board of Directors at the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art, where he also serves on the Classicist committee, helping to plan the annual peer-reviewed journal. David has worked on luxury hospitality brands such as Miraval, Canyon Ranch, and The Breakers in Palm Beach and is a frequent lecturer on the subject of sustainability.
