Cozy Mystery Thursday: Flower Shop Mysteries — Dearly Depotted | Wedding Chaos & a Locked Room Murder

In today’s episode of Cozy Comfort Club, I’m sharing my thoughts on Flower Shop Mysteries: Dearly Depotted, a Hallmark mystery released in 2016 that brings us back to New Chapel, Illinois, this time with a winter wedding, complicated family dynamics, and a locked room mystery at the center of it all.

Dearly Depotted still leans into a classic cozy mystery setup with a small town, familiar characters, and an amateur sleuth who cannot help but get involved, but this installment introduces a slightly darker tone, with higher emotional stakes, more tension between characters, and a mystery that unfolds within a chaotic wedding setting.

At the center is Abby Knight, a former lawyer turned flower shop owner, who now fully steps into her role as an amateur sleuth, using her instincts and investigative mindset to solve a murder that happens during her cousin’s wedding weekend, while also navigating growing tension in her personal relationships.
