Haikal grew up in the shop, learning hospitality and generosity from his father and uncle, and growing slowly into the custodian of a Lebanese legacy that is dear to Brunswick and important to Melbourne. The COVID times have been tough but he doesn't see any way forward but optimism, zaatar manouche in hand.
