07 | What Happens When We Scatter? A Sent People | WE ARE THE CHURCH | Matthew 10:1-20 | Richard Hylton

What happens when the church leaves the building?

In this message from our WE ARE THE CHURCH series, Richard Hylton explores Jesus' call to be a sent people. Looking at Matthew 10 and the examples of ordinary men and women throughout the New Testament, Richard reminds us that every follower of Jesus has been sent with a purpose. While some are called to distant nations or church planting, many are sent into their families, workplaces, schools, and communities to represent Christ.

This message challenges the idea that only the most gifted or qualified are called by God. Jesus chose ordinary, flawed disciples and entrusted them with His mission, demonstrating that God works through willing hearts rather than perfect people. As we step out in faith, relying on God's provision and guidance, He equips us for the places He has called us to serve.

Following Jesus is not always comfortable or easy, but wherever He sends us, He promises to be with us, give us the words we need, and use our lives as a witness to His Kingdom.

Where is God sending you, and are you willing to go?
