02| The Holy Spirit in the Old Testament | SPIRIT AND TRUTH | Genesis 1:1-2 | Rosie Carter

In this teaching, we explore the work and presence of the Holy Spirit throughout the Old Testament. From the very beginning of creation, the Spirit of God brings order to chaos and gives life to humanity. We look at how the Holy Spirit anointed and empowered those called to lead, revealed wisdom and understanding, and equipped people with gifts and skills for God’s purposes. We also explore the Spirit’s role in prophecy and how the people of God experienced His presence.

Through passages from Genesis, Exodus, Numbers, 1 Samuel and Isaiah, we discover that the Holy Spirit was actively working throughout the Old Testament and learn how we can call upon Him to help us use the gifts God has given us.
