20 Times the Books Bomb and the Movies Are Great - Harry Potter Explained

Welcome to Harry Potter Theory. Today we're tackling The Harry Potter films VS the Harry Potter books. Now- I was first exposed to the books, they were the first thing that I knew of Harry Potter- and I think that the general consensus among Harry Potter fans is that the books are superior- mainly because they have so much more detail- they're the original story. The films, on the other hand, took some liberties- some characters looked and even acted differently, plot points were omitted, and overall- they were just much more condensed. But, what did you expect? 6 hour long movies? I LOVE the Harry Potter films- I think they're great, and while the books did a lot of things better, and are-in my opinion-superior, it doesn't mean that there aren't things that the FILMS did better than the books. In today's video, I'm going to be touching on 20 things that I FEEL the films did better than the books. For the die hard book fans, try to watch this one with an open mind. This is going to be a mix of longer and shorter points, ranging from single lines/moments that were included/excluded- all the way to major shifts in the way that the films turned out.
