Welcome to Harry Potter Theory. I think it goes without saying that 2023 was a big (and very much NEEDED) year for Harry Potter fans. In February, the long-awaited and massively popular Hogwarts Legacy was released- an immersive, open-world action RPG set in the same Wizarding World as the Harry Potter books.

And just a few months later, word spread of a decade long Harry Potter series expected to premiere on HBO.

Since the game's release over 22 MILLION copies have been sold- amounting to over 707 million hours played, 819 million potions poured, 1.3 billion plants plucked, 593 million beasts saved, and 5 billion evil wizards thwarted.
