Beltane, or Bealtaine, is the celebration of the transition between winter and summer. Since the time of the Druids, it marked when farmers would bring their cattle to the summer pastures. There would be bonfires, maypoles, and thoughts of fertility. Also known as Spring Halloween, Beltane is the midpoint between the spring equinox and the summer solstice. The veil is thin, and you can feel the power of change.
