Ep. - 1709 - SATURDAY SERIES: ALICE LACOUR

Alice LaCour, former federal prosecutor, litigation partner at Hilgers Graben, and co-host of The Prosecutors podcast, joins me for a conversation that spans her immigrant childhood in a small Georgia town where she didn't speak English until kindergarten, her path through Yale Law School and two federal clerkships, her work on Supreme Court confirmation teams, and the day she went into labor mid-trial and didn't leave the courtroom. We also dig into her career as a podcaster, including the backlash she faced after concluding Adnan Syed's original conviction was correct, and her real-time coverage of the Lindsay Clancy trial, including the gendered hostility she's faced covering it and why she believes the verdict shouldn't be treated as the final word on postpartum mental health.
