25. Not For Sale (Polar Bear) (1974)

Before Queen roared onto the world stage, they prowled the underground with raw experiments like “Polar Bear.” In this Sheer Pod Attack episode, we trace the icy origins of the track — a haunting relic from the band’s embryonic days, when Brian May’s guitar shimmered like aurora light and Freddie Mercury’s voice carried the chill of isolation and ambition.

We unpack how “Not For Sale (Polar Bear)” became a symbol of Queen’s creative wilderness — a song too strange, too pure, and too early for the spotlight. Expect tales of demo tapes, lost sessions, and the band’s first brush with mythmaking.

If it’s Friday, it must be time for your weekly Queen fix. It’s time for Sheer Pod Attack.
