29. Tenement Funster (1974)

Episode 29 of Sheer Pod Attack turns the spotlight onto one of Queen’s most swagger‑laden deep cuts: Tenement Funster. Hosts Stephen & Paul Nicholson guide listeners through a punchy, story‑driven exploration of Roger Taylor’s gritty, youthful anthem — the perfect blend of attitude, melody, and early‑Queen charm.

You’ll hear Stephen & Paul rank & critique the song, weaving in song clips, interview clips, and a curated spread of interesting band and song facts that place Tenement Funster in its rightful spot within the Sheer Heart Attack universe. As always, the show features the beloved quiz question of the week, giving listeners a chance to test their Queen knowledge and maybe learn something new along the way.

And don’t wander too far — next week’s episode is dedicated to the razor‑sharp, theatrical brilliance of Flick of the Wrist, so make sure you come back for another deep dive into Queen’s early magic.

If it’s Friday, it must be time for your weekly Queen fix. It’s time for Sheer Pod Attack.
