The first book is First Day Jitters by Julie Danneberg. In this story, Sarah is worried about her first day of school and does not want to get up or do anything to get ready. She is new to her school, doesn’t know anyone, and doesn’t feel like starting over. Finally, she gets to school and realizes that all her worries are for nothing. The second book is Mae’s First Day of School by Kate Berube. May also worries: What if the other kids don’t like her? Her mom tells her about all the great things she will find there. Mae arrives at school and then hides in a tree. She has some visitors in the tree, and they talk about everything they are worried about.

He decides he needs a dog but wants the perfect dog. One that doesn’t need to be fed walked, or really taken care of but will bark and keep people away. The wizard speaks to the glass blower who lives next door and agrees to give him a potion to help with his aches and pains if the glass blower will make him a glass dog. The glass dog is perfect, and the wizard is happy, but the glass blower takes the magic potion and saves a rich woman’s life with it, hoping for a big reward. But things don’t work out quite as he had hoped.

Sammy also visits Oliver, the wise old owl, who teaches him more about patience and how to be understood. In the end, Sammy feels hopeful about trying again with his friends, using what he's learned about patience and speaking up.

Each creature had a unique skill: Glitterfin Dolphins navigated murky waters, Jellybrights provided light, Coral Bloomers used their strength for repairs, and Tangle-Tail Monkeys maneuvered through tight spaces. We will look at two books about how other people think about returning to school. The first book is First Day Jitters by Julie Danneberg. In this story, Sarah is worried about her first day of school and does not want to get up or do anything to get ready. She is new to her school, doesn’t know anyone, and doesn’t feel like starting over. Finally, she gets to school and realizes that all her worries are for nothing. The second book is Mae’s First Day of School by Kate Berube. May also worries: What if the other kids don’t like her? Her mom tells her about all the great things she will find there. Mae arrives at school and then hides in a tree. She has some visitors in the tree, and they talk about everything they are worried about.

This story is about some weeds that grow next to a farmer’s field. The weeks are worried about their children and what will become of them? They ask the rye for advice but the rye is not very pleasant with his reply and so the weeds were left to decide on their own. They asked the breeze for help to spread their seeds and the breeze agreed but each of the weeds asked the breeze to not tell the other weeds. In the Spring we will see if the weeds managed to get their seeds spread or not.

Butterwops is a beetle who has lived for a long time. The younger beetles call him “the general” and he tries his best to guide them. This is the second part of the Travels of Prince Flamingo. Prince Flamingo lives happily with the Emperor until one day he hears the men deciding how to get rid of them both. White Wing warns the Emperor and he sends him away so that they cannot capture him. White Wing flies away and heads back to where he was born. When he arrives he rules and makes some changes that will last for all time.

The Travels of Prince Flamingo is the first part of our story about Little White Wing. He is a baby flamingo that is born into a place with hundreds of other flamingos. When they start changing colors and turning pink Little White Wing stays white. The King of flamingos tells everyone that Little White Wing needs to go. His mother sends him off before they come to take him away and he heads off to see if he can find out where he belongs.

In part 8 of our story, Doctor Dolittle and his pets are on the pirates ship and sailing away as fast as they can but the pirates block their way. Doctor Dolittle tries to talk to the pirate and reason with him and keep him distracted while the ship starts to sink. When the pirates realize that their boat is sinking they get into the water and the sharks start circling. The sharks start circling around and Doctor Dolittle asks the pirates to promise to change their way and they promise. If they forget the sharks have promised to come back for them.

Doctor Dolittle is finally on his way home. The monkeys shook his hand and then Doctor Dolittle and his pets head off to the shore wondering how they will make it home with no boat. When Chee-chee goes on ahead to look for coconuts the group gets lost and ends up heading into the Kings backyard. Of course the King locks them up again but Polynesia manages to fly away before anyone sees her and she and Chee-chee come up with a plan to get everyone out of the dungeon.

In the fifth part of the Tale of Doctor Dolittle the doctor is sleeping. Chee Chee stands guard until the doctor finally wakes us and when he does he says it is time for them to leave. All the animals in the forest can’t believe he is going to leave, they thought he would stay. They try to think of ways to convince him to stay but Chee Chee explains to them why they need to go. After this the animals decide to try and find a gift that will show Doctor Dolittle how much his help has meant to them. What could they possibly give to him?

Doctor Dolittle and some of his animals are on their way to Africa in part 3 of The Story of Doctor Dolittle. When they get near the equator some of the animals are loving the heat while others are sitting in the shade drinking lemonade. Some animals come to greet them to see if this is the famous Doctor Dolittle finally arriving to help the monkeys and they are happy to see it is. In Doctor Dolittle part two the doctor is very happy helping the animals and does not like to send any away. This starts to cause problems as some of the animals scare the people who bring their pets and all of a sudden there are no more people coming to see him. When the King is almost there Ned sends the bluebird off with the golden ring to get help. When the bluebird lands near the King he senses her and she ends up dropping the ring into the moat. The King goes into the castle and things start to happen, how can the bluebird help everyone if she has lost the ring?

In the Magic Soap Bubble part 3 Ned needs to complete another task for the King before he will give him the gold he promised. When Ned digs the well and fills it with water the King is so happy and sends Ned on his way on a donkey with all the gold he promised. As Ned is travelling he hears a giant singing and whistling and hides. When the giant sees Ned he tells him he is going to eat him but Ned says he is going to make the giant his worker. They have a contest to see who will end up being the worker.

Butterwops is a beetle who has lived for a long time. The younger beetles call him “the general” and he tries his best to guide them. When the man in the house where they are living starts putting yellow stuff on the floor the beetles don’t do so well. Do you like to throw snowballs? Have you had a snowball fight recently? In this story the boys are having a big snowball fight and decide to get a head start on the next day by creating a big pile of snowballs ahead of time. That night it snows and snows and snows and the snowballs get buried until Spring. When Spring comes the snowballs hear someone calling for help but none of them are willing to go out where the sun is to find out who is calling, except Snowball number one. Snowball number one rolls down the hill and finds out who asked for help and starts a whole new journey.

The weeks are worried about their children and what will become of them? They ask the rye for advice but the rye is not very pleasant with his reply and so the weeds were left to decide on their own. They asked the breeze for help to spread their seeds and the breeze agreed but each of the weeds asked the breeze to not tell the other weeds.
