Earthly and Heavenly Father, Paradise vs Heaven, and Temptation

1. Often, we hear that if our earthly father loves us so much, how much more does our heavenly Father love us. My mother and father both have let me know all my life that I wasn’t wanted, that everything bad is my fault, that I’m not good enough. HOW do I accept that God loves me?

2. So Jesus told the thief on the cross that he would be with him in paradise that day but Paul says those that are dead in Christ will rise first to meet him in the air when he returns.  So do Christians go to heaven (or paradise) to be with Jesus when they die or at the return of Christ?

3. When we are tempted to sin, are we tempted by our own sinful nature or are we being tempted by Satan? Or is it a combination of both?
