The Zaidi Imamate's Last Stand: 1970s North Yemen's Civil War

In the 1970s, North Yemen (the Yemen Arab Republic) emerged from a brutal eight-year civil war between republican forces backed by Egypt and royalist tribes loyal to the ousted Zaidi imamate. But the conflict didn't end with the 1970 peace settlement.
