In a quiet California town, teens Brian, Meg, and Paul discover a strange gelatinous substance that quickly proves to be anything but harmless—melting anyone in its path. As it spreads through the sewer system and grows out of control, the town is thrown into panic.

We’re chatting about the incredible practical effects, some seriously brutal kills, and the mix of characters caught up in the chaos—plus a little appreciation for that unmistakable 80s style.

It’s gross, it’s fun, and it’s an absolute 80s gem.
