This week, we sit down with writer, producer, essayist and friend Lindzi Scharf (whose work has appeared in The New York Times and The Hollywood Reporter no less!) Lindzi opens up about her journey through motherhood, grief, and joy. She shares the story of her daughter Evan, whose bright light continues to shape her family’s world, and her son Reed, who carries that light forward.

We talk about what it means to hold space for both heartbreak and happiness, the beautiful complexity of being a “medical mom,” and the lessons in presence that Evan left behind. From IVF and resilience to laughter and letting go of labels, Lindzi reminds us that people are not their diagnoses and that saying our children’s names with love keeps them alive in the most powerful way.
