Today, Mary from our GLP1 Mounjaro TikTok community tells her story of struggling with genetic obesity, depression, anxiety, and ADHD and explains how Mounjaro has changed her life for the better by treating her metabolic dysfunction, the disease of obesity. We are also joined by Dr. Jennah Siwak, a board-certified obesity specialist, known fondly as @WeightDoc within our TikTok GLP1 Ozempic / Wegovy Mounjaro community. We discuss one of the biggest issues with obesity is the lack of informed doctors, which leads to uninformed patients and society. We see and hear so much Fearmongering in the media using FUD messaging (Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt) to scare and discourage people from trying GLP1s to treat obesity and other metabolic issues. So many doctors continue what they think is the tried and true “eat less, move more” and blame the obese patient. Just as there are people who can eat whatever they want, not exercise, and never gain weight, the exact opposite is also true. If you struggle with obesity, know that you are not alone, and it is not your fault.
