Today, we are joined by Dr. Myra Ahmad of Mochi Health and Rachael from our GLP1 Mounjaro TikTok Community. We focus on how many things attribute to obesity. Rachael discusses her battle with childhood obesity, genetic obesity, PCOS, ADHD, and a binge eating disorder that started at the age of 8. She shares her testimony on how Mounjaro has completely changed her life for the better and improved her mental and physical health. Dr. Myra Ahmad is an obesity specialist and the Co-Founder & CEO of Mochi Health, a telehealth obesity practice. She graduated from the University of Washington School of Medicine, UCSF Medical Center. In her career, Dr. Ahmad witnessed providers use shame when discussing a patient's hypertension, dismiss other medical concerns due to bias, and refuse to use safe and affordable medications in favor of "diet and exercise only" strategies. She felt that these providers didn't see the value in listening to patients. She is here today to discuss everything from study data on GLP1 trials to her position on compound pharmacies that produce Semaglutide and Tirzepatide for patients who cannot get insurance coverage or cannot afford the often $1000 + monthly cash pay price.
